Visitor Centre open daily

We are now open every weekend from 10am to 4pm so you can come up to the visitor centre, learn about the project from our wonderful volunteers and experience the fantastic and increased bird life, especially fantail escaping the coldest weather.

The visitor centre is a great place just to sit out on the deck, enjoying the sun and watching the Tui and Bellbird visit our feeders, Kereru commuting up the valley and occasionally the flash of a Falcon in pursuit of its prey.

In the building we have a number of displays and multimedia interactives showcasing the natural history, human history and aims of the project.
Bring the whole family for a fantastic experience at the regions most exciting conservation project.
You may even be inspired to donate to the project, join as a member or give your time as a volunteer.
Either way you will be contributing to practical hands on conservation restoring the bush towards its pest free pre human state.
